Hybrid owners may not need to replace the hybrid battery due to
failure as frequently as they fear—but another fear is rising in
its place. There has been an increase in the number of hybrid
vehicle battery thefts and that can prove to be costly to hybrid
owners. The cost to replace and repair the wiring is more than
the battery itself—up to $9,000. There are tamper-proof fasteners
available that make it much more difficult to remove a battery.
And at a cost of around $50, they are much more economical than
