Bob Trudeau, Trudeau’s Auto Repair (Woonsocket, Rhode Island)
Without ALLDATA, I would not be in business . If you own a shop today and don’t use it, you couldn’t operate. It’s very user-friendly, and everything you need is at your fingertips. For hard-to-find information, the library research service is very good. Over the years, there have been many situations when ALLDATA saved me.
Jeff Mutter, Mutter Motors (Cumberland , Rhode Island)
We were one of ALLDATA’s original customers. ALLDATA is fast for finding information. The wiring diagrams are great. We use it for estimating too. A woman came in with a transmission problem. The first thing I did was pull the TSBs on ALLDATA and we found her problem. I sent her to the dealer, and the fix was on them. It would have been a $4,000 – $5,000 job. We didn’t get any of it, but it was good for long-term customer relations. The TSBs save us a lot of time and money. It’s one of the tools we can’t do without.
Jeff Koch, Koch’s Automotive (Greenfield, Massachusetts)
I couldn’t get by without ALLDATA. I’ve used it for over 10 years, and it is rare that I can’t find what I need. I once couldn’t find some torque specs on a Kia. I called the dealer and they didn’t have the specs either. Kia doesn’t publish them. That’s the only time you won’t find it in ALLDATA. OEM information is the gold standard. That’s especially true for wiring diagrams.
David Guillot, King Cadillac GMC (Putnam, Connecticut)
We service other makes and we use ALLDATA every day to diagnose problems, and for parts and labor information. It’s easy to use and locating information is fast. We especially rely on the TSBs. We also sell Saabs, and we need ALLDATA to service and repair them. ALLDATA is especially valuable for resetting maintenance lights on foreign makes.
Robert Kubosiak, Goin’ Gray Auto (Whately, Massachusetts)
I use ALLDATA for 90% of everything that goes through here, especially the parts and labor information. I usually check the TSBs first – that can save a lot of time. The customer service is great – some time ago I dropped a disc and scratched it. I called and they sent one to me immediately, no questions asked. I’m going with the online service to avoid that problem again. I once called the Chrysler dealer to order a bushing kit, but they couldn’t find the correct part number. I went into the ALLDATA system and told the dealer the number.
Jeff Beckwith, Beckwith’s Auto (Bernardston , Massachusetts)
We used to spend a lot of time diagnosing problems. Now that we have ALLDATA, we’re spoiled. I couldn’t operate without it. The biggest reason I chose it was reading what other techs said on iATN. The wiring diagrams are reason enough to use ALLDATA. I had a car in here that I might have turned away without the ALLDATA wiring diagram. The few times I haven’t been able to find something, I’ve called the library and have always have gotten good service.
