REPAIRER DRIVEN NEWS: STELLANTIS INVESTS IN NEW-GEN LIDAR, FUTURE ENHANCEMENT FOR ADAS
Stellantis Ventures, the automaker’s corporate venture fund, has invested in SteerLight — the developer of a new generation lidar sensing technology. Employing silicon photonics technology, which combines a universal semiconductor material with the speed of photos, SteerLight’s lidar senses the surrounding environment in 3D with higher resolution and precision, and at a lower volume production cost, than other lidar systems, according to a news release from the companies.

Santa Fe’s Transmission Issues Due to Rear View Camera
Vehicle: 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, AWD, V6-3.3L, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle

Problem: Customer states that when the vehicle is cold, especially in the mornings, the gearshift won't come out of Park and multiple dash warning lights remain on. Also, the rear-view camera begins working after he can get the transmission to shift into reverse. When the temperature warms up, everything returns to normal.
