Owners of certain 2021–2022 Nissan Rogue models may experience an infotainment system that truly lives up to the name, going rogue with repeated reboots every 4 to 5 minutes. Whether you are navigating, streaming music, or just trying to adjust the volume, the system may suddenly reset like a bad version of Short Circuit 2. Nissan Technical Service Bulletin NTB22-062 addresses this condition, identifying a software-related issue within the AV control unit.
Before contacting the Department of Car Stereo Repair, Nissan confirms this is not a hardware failure, but a software glitch that sends the system into a reboot loop. The fix is straightforward in theory: Verify the current software version and perform an over-the-air update if available. If not, the bulletin outlines a more involved USB-based update process using CONSULT to bring the system back in line.

Until the update is completed, expect some unpredictable behavior that can interrupt navigation, audio, and connectivity features. Translation: Your Rogue is doing its own thing, like Johnny Five. Once updated, the system should calm down, stay put, and stop going rogue every few minutes like it is trying to make a dramatic exit.

The detailed repair procedure is included in the TSB.
