Creating Customer Types

  1. Type a Customer Type. Use descriptive text or a code that is easy to identify, such as Standard (STD), Preferred, Senior, or Government (GOVT). This is a required field.

  2. Type a Part Discount % if this customer type gets a discount on parts.

  3. From the Rate Code drop-list, select a labor rate from the list of rates you created.

    • Note: The Description field displays the labor rate description and the Rate field displays the hourly fee for the selected Rate Code.

  4. Select the Labor Tax Exempt and Parts Tax Exempt check boxes if these tax-exemptions apply to this customer type.

  5. Click Submit.
