TECH TIP
SENTRA WITH HIGH UNSTABLE IDLE - DTC P0507
Jan. 17 2015
Jan. 17 2015

Vehicle: 2006 Nissan-Datsun® Sentra®, L4-1.8L (QG18DE), Automatic Transmission/Transaxle

Mileage: 92,336

Problem: The idle speed is consistently too high. The tech found poor connections at throttle body and repaired connector. After reconnecting throttle, the idle was still high.

Details: The tech verified APP and TPS voltages with scan tool and performed the Accelerator Pedal Released Position learning and Throttle Valve Closed Position learning procedures. The idle still remained high.

Confirmed Repair: The tech performed both learning procedures three more times. The throttle is now functioning properly and the idle is smooth and steady at specifications.
