Porsche Panamera’s A/C Inoperable After New Condenser Installation
Vehicle: 2015 Porsche Panamera 4 (970), V6-3.6L, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle

Problem: The Porsche Panamera’s A/C stopped cooling. The shop diagnosed a leaking condenser. After replacing the condenser and recharging the system to the correct specification, the A/C blew warm air.
The technician confirmed the compressor clutch was not engaging, even though the refrigerant charge level was correct. The A/C control button in the cabin appeared to be disabled. - After A/C service (e.g., condenser replacement), confirm the system is fully charged.
- If the compressor does not engage, connect a scan tool and access the A/C control module.
- The system may have disabled the compressor due to a previous low-charge state.
- Perform the "compressor reset" and "compressor run-in" procedures to re-enable the compressor.
Confirmed Repair: After the technician performed the compressor reset and compressor run-in procedures, the compressor engaged normally and the system blew cold air. Simple fix!
