2007–2010 Tundra and 2008–2010 Sequoia owners have reported an unexpected incontinence from their drivetrain—a transmission fluid leak making a surprise exit right through the driveshaft slip yoke plug. According to updated bulletin T-SB-0055-08, the issue was traced back to the supplier’s manufacturing process, where apparently the motto was “let it flow.” Before you reach for the kitty litter, the fix is straightforward: swap out the leaky driveshaft for a new, properly sealed one, using the markings on the original driveshaft to properly align the phase of the replacement. Then, top off the transmission fluid level after installation to keep everything running smoothly.

The detailed repair procedure is included in the TSB.
