Numerous Chevy Volt owners have complained about a clicking sound that comes and goes while driving, occasionally illuminating the Stabilitrak lamp. The lamp will sometimes reset after an ignition cycle.
Chevrolet released a TSB, #19-NA-103, that states the following diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) may also be present:
- DTC P0721
- C0500-C0504 and or C0506-C050A
The cause is likely the fracturing of the front half shaft anti-click washer. Upon verifying the condition, remove and discard the anti-click washer on the affected half shaft, then inspect the wheel speed sensor on that side for damage.
